Pin Up Captain America // Marvel

Inspiration

My inspiration for this costume came in two parts – 1) My boyfriend’s favorite superhero is Captain America and 2) I’m working on an ongoing superhero pin up series and Capt. America seemed like a perfect fit!

Construction

This is very much a pieced together cosplay – purchased and then modified a waist cincher, added garters, bought thigh high stocks and red gloves, sewed a blue leotard and added on the white star, bought a military helmet and then spray-painted it blue and hand-painted on the white ‘A’ and wings. BOOM – done!

I also want to send out a really huge THANK YOU to Darshelle Stevens and Saffels Photography for shooting me in a very cold air hangar! It was an absolute dram come true for me to photograph this costume in front of a P-51 Mustang and I am so incredibly honored that such amazing photographers wanted to work with me! <3
